Gervais Street Bridge, a historic arch bridge made of reinforced concrete, is one of my favorite places in Columbia, South Carolina. It’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places, but to me, it’s more than just a monument of the past. It’s a place where I can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and find solace in the beauty of the present moment.
When I’m downtown at the River Walk, gazing upon the bridge, I’m reminded to slow down and appreciate the simple things in life. It’s a spot where I can reflect, meditate, and recharge, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to experience its tranquil energy.
Understanding is the bridge between two minds; love is the bridge between two souls.
